…what a fucking shit hole. Btw, if we had a tournament amongst alliance leaders there is no doubt in my mind that King Mannus would come in last. While he’s a nice enough guy(with a now crushed ego) he really really sucks at PVP — although he did accept my duel request, something Osium of The Mercs is still scared to do.

It’s truly funny to see the cowardice that Hyperion has displayed in World War I, isn’t it? First they siege their own cities in a futile attempt at preventing the first battle of WWI to start(they still lost 1 city and 3 hamlets that day). Then this weekend after being annihilated in Darkfall’s greatest large scale combat operations to date, Hyperion continued to show us their gutlessness by attempting to “leave Hyperion” in order to save their cities. People may call me the DF Hitler but this Hyperion tactic is the same one the Nazis used when they fled to Brazil to avoid being tried for their war crimes — you cant try to exterminate a race(Yssam) and get away with it…

The above picture shows the state of the Hyperion alliance at the time the 72hour offer for Hyperion and Yssam Coalition(Hyperion Jr) guilds to defect expired. These guilds at this point chose to stay on board the Hyperion alliance declaring their loyalty to King Mannus thus forever sealing their fate. Any attempts to leave Hyperion since then(especially after this weekends hijacking of 3 Hyperion cities) will only be recognized as signs of cowardice and will not spare you your fate. You guys are going to learn a lesson and be an example for every future guild alliance on this shard, you might as well man up and go down fighting…

CC vs. Hyperion(and The Mercs)

The CC sieged The Hundred’s city this weekend… and of course we took it. Hyperion tried their best(lol) to beat us, even spending 100k on The Mercs but in an evenly matched battle at the Terrible Company hamlet, CC forces defeated The Mercs + Hyperion twice and won the siege, conquering Andruk:

I’m not an MMO King who wants to run a fantasy-land empire to satiate my desire to LARP 24×7 — I’m a PVPer who grew up on saved by the bell, 2 liters of coke, and making people rage in UO. I have no place for roleplayers and non-PVPers in my guild and I have no place for roleplayers and non-PVPers in the Coalition of the Chillin(CC).

If for whatever reason you find yourself in a CC guild and you realize that you’re not a PVPer you should quit and save yourself the embarrassment of being kicked out of the CC and having it youtubed for everyone to see:

I’ve never been a fan of the Good Squad. I’ve only played one game with them (World of Warcraft) but it was there that I decided that they were “outside of the box” in a bad way. Don’t get me wrong, some of their stunts were entertaining, but their “pay to join, pay more for benefits” policy left a bad taste in my mouth. I mean, here you have a group that’s globally known for being a bunch of asshats. To me, their subscription model is no different than paying the class bully to be your friend. And it’s not too far off from RMT either.

But that’s WoW, they’re griefing was limited by design. In Darkfall, they’ve taken things to a new level under the clan name “Awful Company”. The funny thing is, it’s not that that bothers me. It’s their propaganda. They’re leader, the oh so humbly named Lord Gluttony, has single handedly created the worst possible image a clan could hope to have. Check it out. They’re racist, sexist, homophobic, and have no qualms about making fun of the Jewish people tortured during the holocaust. Nice guys, AC.

But they love it. Their aim in every game is to be the most hated and reviled on whatever server the make their home on. Their passion and appeal is in being the “evil ones” that hold no bars and take no prisoners. And that’s fine for them.

The propaganda BS is their only a mask though; it is the veil that hides a truth they’ll never admit. They want you to hate them but can only do that by representing themselves as the scum of the Earth on a website. They want you to get angry because they call you a “***” but, for all their doctored videos, they take more pain than they dish out. It’s like the guy who criticizes “****” all day and hopes no one spots him at the local gay bar that night.

But for all the word vomit that’s spilled from Gluttony’s mouth, it’s pretty effective in one regard. They’re building an “Evil Empire” that anyone with a fleck of decency would like to see fall. They have a big alliance on the server, mostly made up of those who have bowed to them out of fear, power, or in a mad grab for power that they’ll never see. So they oppose the “good guys” (if there are any in Darkfall), AKA Hyperion, AKA the winning team. Honor is a great price to pay for an agreement like that but that’s just my opinion.

In a small way, I like that there’s such a group in the game. There’s a little twinge of guilt with that though. You know the feeling, it’s like when you’re suckered into watching Grey’s Anatomy with the wife (or a car show with the husband, ladies) and feel just a little bit wrong when you realize you find yourself interested. In this case, it’s an interest born in a hope for their fall.

So, for all the disgusting things Awful Company’s Lord Gluttony has said, he has given a face to our enemy… and painted a great big target on his back. I imagine a clash of epic proportions, a battle of good vs. evil, that defines what open-pvp is about. War, as true as it could be in an MMO. And it’s not just a pipedream. In Darkfall, it’s a real possibility and would make a prime example of players crafting their own history.

In a larger way though, outside of any game context, the messages he sends disgust me. People like Gluttony should have their mouths stapled shut until they learn what it means to be human. I’m sure that it’s all an act, probably to create exactly what’s happening (hear that Awful Company, your clan leader is an RPer! OMGWTF!) but how long can it go on before it starts to bleed into him as a person? How many times can you breathe deep the airs of hatred before the smell gets stuck in your nose? And to me, that’s just sad. Playing the bad guy is well and good until the “act” starts to eat into who you are.

Racism, sexism, homophobia and all forms of hate are burning forces. Decent people feel the heat sooner rather than later, act or not.

I have to wonder how Aventurine feels about this kind of thing being tied to them? Any tension this kind of behavior adds to the game isn’t worth the cost. Darkfall, a game of anti-Semites and cross burners? Any Jewish person who sees Awful Company’s website would probably say yes.

I wonder if this guy is in Hyperion… I wonder if this guy like the “Mitsubishi’s” raping his city every day… I wonder if he likes paying taxes so his King can get rich and grind his skills.

Coalition Forces assist Cairn Alliance in defeating Hyperion/Latin Alliance

As you have probably heard, Coalition of the Chillin(CC) forces led by Terrible Company Supreme General Sun Tzu assisted in defeating a much larger force of Hyperion and Latin Alliance members in the siege on SoV city. Hyperion/Latin Alliance initiated the siege at about 5am on Thursday morning hoping to catch the server  by surprise and add another hamlet to their massive zerg.

However they fucked up when they chose a member of the Cairn alliance to siege. Knowing that the Cairn alliance is made up of chill UO players and remembering how Hyperion loves to involve themselves in CC sieges,  Sun Tzu(with help of his terrible company leaders Slaver and Acidkas) mustered up a coalition force of about 40members. While they knew they would be facing at least 200 Hyperion/Latin Alliance members, they figured you can’t win if you dont try and headed out to help defend the SoV city.

The Hyperion attack came on SoV city approximately 45minutes after Coalition forces arrived… the result? The 200 or so Hyperion/LA attackers were destroyed before they could even get to the SoV clanstone, coming under a barrage of ranged attacks by the outnumbered but not outskilled CC and Cairn defenders. The Hyperion/LA forces(led by Hyperion guild: The Hundred) retreated in shame having lost almost half of their assault force even though they outnumbered the defenders almost 2:1.

Realizing that they now had an opportunity to strike the Hyperion hamlet that was used to initiate the siege, Coalition and Cairn attack forces moved towards the hamlet and started sieging it.  Within 30minutes, the siege was over, Hyperion/LA was defeated, and UO players(CC and Cairn) came out victorious again.

Props to Terrible Company, Awful Company, CC guilds, and Cairn for showing Hyperion that DFplayers arent gonna let some cape wearing faggot take over all of Agon.
